1st Segment of the Future World’s Longest Elevated Pedestrian Loop Raised into Location

APPLE VALLEY, Minn., Oct. 13, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — A big “phase” in the development of the Minnesota Zoo’s Treetop Trail was taken earlier today as the formal first phase of the path was raised into spot.

Customers of the PCL Design workforce hoisted a 20-foot by 8-foot piece of the path, finish with railing, onto the Zoo’s first monorail track working with a crane/increase truck. This piece, just one of hundreds to be positioned on the project, will be the very first segment of the Treetop Trail that Zoo attendees will wander on when they enter from the Zoo’s Central Plaza.
