Sara Wynveen – Animal Shelter Manager
Sara started out with the Lincoln County Animal Shelter in Oct 2007 as a element time Kennel Attendant. In April 2008 she was promoted to a comprehensive time and remained an Animal Care Specialist right up until January 2015 when she began working as an Animal Products and services Deputy. On February 1, 2022, Sara rejoined the shelter group as Animal Shelter Manager.
Sara grew up in Lincoln County and was usually centered on serving to animals. Sara and her Dad would routinely deliver foodstuff to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter and volunteered to stroll shelter canine. Sara graduated from Newport Significant School and acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from Oregon State University. Sara’s emphasis was in animal actions and she used time volunteering with wildlife rescue and rehabilitation companies. Family brought her again to Lincoln County and a journey along with an Animal Providers Deputy renewed her passion for animal welfare.
Sara spends a lot of her time with her partner, Lowell, her dog, Roci, and her two cats, Littlefoot and Barry Goldberg, all of whom are LCAS alumni (except Lowell, of course). She enjoys outside things to do, having Roci to agility classes, and shelling out time with her good friends and relatives.
Sue Giles – Animal Care Specialist
Sue commenced with the Animal Shelter in February of 2012 as the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator. As of February 2015, she has been an Animal Treatment Professional furnishing compassionate treatment for the animals and helpful buyer support.
Sue is a daily life-prolonged resident who has been a pet dog instruction teacher for about 40 decades and a 4-H Pet dog Club chief for 30 years. She enjoys teaching and functioning with people today and their animals. Her comprehensive expertise tremendously rewards our doggy enrichment system.
She enjoys horseback rides on the beach front with personal horse, an Arabian named Prince, and likes outside pursuits, functioning at her barn, and time with her relatives.
Amy Ketchum – Animal Treatment Specialist
Amy joined our team of professionals in April 2015. Her adore and care for animals commenced when she was a child and has adopted her all during her daily life. For the past 15 a long time, she has expended her time in San Diego, California professionally doing work with and caring for numerous of the energetic and lovable pet dogs and cats who are living there. She ran her individual pet-sitting company, worked full time at a doggie daycare, and also shadowed some outstanding and experienced canine trainers. Performing along with some of all those gifted trainers has expanded her know-how and being familiar with of pet conduct.
In her off time, Amy enjoys paying out time with household, buddies, and taking care of her individual 4-legged children. She has two little and nuts puppies who continue to keep her pretty hectic Fred and Ethel, the Chihuahua and the Miniature Pinscher. Amy is fired up to add her knowledge and her passionate care for all of the warm-hearted animals who appear to us right here at the shelter.
Cat Schneider – Animal Care Expert
Cat was born and lifted in Montana, then worked in animal shelters in Southern California for the past 5 years. She moved up to Oregon not as well lengthy back with her two canine Ollie and Winner, and started out functioning at LCAS on August 16th, 2020. She has labored in animal welfare her whole grownup lifestyle and is incredibly passionate about assisting the animals of Lincoln county!
